In an ideal world. you would have a super-sized, heated garage attached to your house where you could just pull the RV in for the winter. One of the first things you should think about is whether you want to store your RV indoors or outdoors. If you live in a snowy or wet climate, indoors is the ideal choice since it will help protect your RV from the weather.

If, on the other hand, you live in a relatively mild climate, you may be able to get by with storing it outdoors. You still may want to consider looking for a storage company that at least offers covered outdoors storage, however, since having a roof over it will help protect it from the worst of the weather.

 

You may need to call around to several different RV storage companies before you find one that offers the type of storage that you want at a price you can afford. Another option that you may want to consider is looking for a private party to store your RV for you.

For this option, you can put an ad on a local classified ad site stating that you are looking for somewhere to store your RV for the winter. Although it seems like a long shot, you may be surprised by some of the responses that you get to your ad. In many cases, you may be able to find a lower price than having it professionally stored.
